Notes about the mix
For me, The Zap was far more than a nightclub. It was where my adult life really began. It was where lifelong friendships were made, where weekends became adventures, and where I met the woman who would later become my wife.
The Zap also cemented Brighton's place as one of the UK's great clubbing cities. As one of the country's most influential clubs, it attracted pioneering DJs, helped define the sound of the late 80s and early 90s, and left a legacy that still echoes through dance music today.
This reunion mix celebrates those unforgettable nights, the people who filled the dancefloor, and a club whose influence reached far beyond Brighton. Some places give you memories. The Zap gave many of us lifelong friendships, and for me, much more besides.
